But at the same time, your average college student, like us, will attend events just to get some free food. We are always on the look out for the cheapest food deals. However, our time is just as precious as our money, so we don’t always have time to go searching for these cheaper food options. Our app actually tackles both of these problems, food waste and costly food options, while providing an innovative platform for food businesses to advertise food.

​Our app will seamlessly connect customers to restaurants owners. Near closing time, restaurant owners are presented with the dilemma of what to do with surplus food. If they allow the food to roll over to the next day, there is a good chance the food will go bad. If they throw out the food, it’s a huge waste of food and money. If they take the food home, there a good chance it won’t be finished either and let’s be real, restaurant would much rather make a couple extra bucks. If they use our app, users will be able to see food options nearby at a discounted price around restaurant closing times. Our app will update with changes in food supply in real time. It’s a win win for all sides. Restaurants would earn more profit, less food would be wasted, and customer would get a bargain for food they would have paid full price for.
